Right to Left or Left to Right Animation Android

Create an "anim" folder inside res folder in your application.

 Create animation resources into anim folder

 1. in_from_left.xml

 <set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
 android:shareInterpolator="false">
 <translate
        android:fromXDelta="-100%" android:toXDelta="0%"
        android:fromYDelta="0%" android:toYDelta="0%"
        android:duration="1400" />
</set>

 2. in_from_right.xml

 <set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
 android:shareInterpolator="false">
 <translate
        android:fromXDelta="100%" android:toXDelta="0%"
        android:fromYDelta="0%" android:toYDelta="0%"
        android:duration="1400" />
</set>

 3. out_to_left.xml

 <set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
 android:shareInterpolator="false">
 <translate android:fromXDelta="0%" android:toXDelta="-100%"
        android:fromYDelta="0%" android:toYDelta="0%"
        android:duration="1400"/>
</set>

 4. out_to_right.xml

 <set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
 android:shareInterpolator="false">
 <translate android:fromXDelta="0%" android:toXDelta="100%"
        android:fromYDelta="0%" android:toYDelta="0%"
        android:duration="1400"/>
</set>

 Now you can use this resource into Java File like Below

 1. Left to Right

  Intent intent = new Intent(FirstActivity.this, SecondActivity.class);
 intent.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP);
 startActivity(intent);
 overridePendingTransition(R.anim.in_from_left, R.anim.out_to_right);

 2. Right to Left

  Intent intent = new Intent(SecondActivity.this, FirstActivity.class);
 intent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP);
 startActivity(intent);
 overridePendingTransition(R.anim.in_from_right, R.anim.out_to_left);
